Ode to MY Mother

I was the youngest of 3 daughters. My sisters were always very motherly to me and other children. But being a Mother is something I thought I couldn't do. I had never been around kids my whole life.

What I didn't realize is that I became MY mother in the process. She had a strength about her that only us kids saw and is not something you learn in a book. The fact that she was a navy wife and I became one was something I never saw coming. But I have to say I am proud to be like my mother.

Thanks Momma! I love you.

And Thanks Dad for loving me just as equally. You will always be the wind beneath my wings.
